Colleen's School of Dance Updates

Father /Daughter dance and Men's dances:
Please send me an email and let me know if you are interested in doing either or both of these dances. I am compiling a list and making rehearsal times for these groups and need to know the amount of each that we will be having.

DANCE COMPETITIONS:
Due to the costume company that the comp costumes are coming from not for sure if they will be here in time for the first two competitions, I have had no choice but to change the competitions that we are going to. Believe me when I say I did EVERYTHING possible to try to avoid this. We are registered for two competitions in the cities including Showbiz and another great competition I have heard great reviews about that has been around for 34 years. This one is called I LOVE DANCE and is in St Paul. Also the I LOVE DANCE not only gives away awards but also MONEY which I believe we have a great chance in with our dance this year. The showbiz dates are May 2-6 and I love dance is Sunday May 6th. I have talked to both competitions letting them know that we are doing these in the same weekend. They are going to do their best to have us dance Sat. at the Showbiz competition and then follow-up and dance the I LOVE DANCE comp on Sunday. Plus part of this is that we get the competitions in the same weekend and so it saves us trips and more importantly EXPENSE. I will send you more information as I know it.

WOMEN'S CLASSES:
We are asked to bring our women's dances to the competition on May 6th. Please let me know if you want to dance in one or both of your women's class dances.

TICKET SALES:
Ticket sales will be Saturday, April 7th from 8am to Noon. Anyone unable to attend ticket sales can send an email with your preference and drop off payment before ticket sales day. After the schedule ticket sales are done that day, I will fill the requests in from emails in the order they were received. Ticket cost is $10 per ticket.

PICTURES:
In order to save our much needed rehearsal time to perfect our already wonderful dances, we are trying something new this year moving our picture week to actually between two days on the weekend of April 28th and 29th... That is a Saturday and Sunday. Is there anything going on this weekend that I should make sure that your class has pictures on a certain day between these, otherwise I will go ahead and schedule them and try to get everyone in on Saturday. I am hoping this works so that the classes that you paid for actually go to dancing and also ensure that everyone has their costumes.

TUITION:
Please make sure that past due accounts are brought current. Those that are not current will be starting right away that your child is not allowed to participate is dance class. I feel horrible taking this out on the children but Tuition needs to be brought current or a payment plan needs to be put into place for any past due accounts.
